Declaration of Accessibility

SECTION 1: Mandatory Content

"Veolia Energy Varna EAD undertakes to provide access to its website at https://energy-varna.bg in accordance with Article 58 c of the Electronic Government Act - "EGG Act" (supplemented by SG No. 102) 31 December 2019) and Articles 39 and 39a of the Ordinance on General Requirements for Information Systems, Registers and Electronic Administrative Services (amended and supplemented by SG No. 4 of 14 January 2020) for the creation of a model accessibility declaration and in accordance with the harmonised standard EN 301 549, developed in support of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector organisations, which guarantees a minimum level of accessibility.

This accessibility statement applies to the website https://energy-varna.bg

I. Compliance status

This website partially complies with the Directive and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0) standard due to the non-compliances noted below, as identified in the website accessibility checkconducted by the Ministry of e-Government in April 2024.

II.Inaccessible content

The inaccessible content, in the form of specific section-wise and content/feature(s) non-conformitiesidentified with the requirements of the WCAG 2.0 standard are detailed in Annex 1

Accessible alternatives for accessing the content is the implemented Accessibility Widget tool through which site users can individually manage accessibility settings.

Making of this accessibility statement: This accessibility statement was made on 03.04.2023.

The date of the last annual review and update following the evaluation and redesign of the website is 30.04.2024.

The statement will be revised after a thorough overall analysis of the website has been completed and any inconsistencies against the requirements of the standard and the MEU's published web content requirements have been addressed by 01.10.2024, by which time the planned updates and improvements will also be in place.

The method used for the preparation of the declaration is a self-assessment carried out by the person referred to in Article 1(1)(b). 1 or 2 of the SEA, the owner of the website/mobile application. The check was mainly performed with the WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool (http://wave.webaim.org/ and in addition with Tingtun Checker (http://checkers.eiii.eu/), W3 HTML Validator(https://validator.w3.org/).

Application procedure

  1. Pursuant to Art. 58d, par. 1 of the ESL and in accordance with the approved internal rules of Veolia Energy Varna EAD a procedure for handling signals has been established:

The complaint shall be examined within one month of its receipt, and within the same period a reply shall be prepared, which shall contain a description of the actions and measures taken to remedy the accessibility violation and the time limit within which the accessibility violation will be remedied, or a reasoned refusal in cases where the request is considered unfounded and unlawful.

Where the applicant has indicated an e-mail address, the reply shall be sent, signed with a qualified electronic signature certificate, and in other cases on paper, to the address indicated in the alert. Where an incorrect or non-existent address is given, the information shall be deemed to have been received from the date of sending.

2.
